Deleting your account

From the app

Open Settings, choose Delete account, and confirm.

From the website

Sign in, then go to Settings → Account → Delete account.

If you cannot sign in

Email support@meetyourplus.com from the address on the account. We will confirm the account is yours before deleting anything, and we complete requests within 30 days.

What gets deleted

Everything attached to the account, in both directions:

• Your profile and every photo
• Messages you sent, and the conversations they belonged to
• Likes and favourites — those you gave and those you received
• Matches, profile views, and blocks
• Verification requests and any verification you completed
• Referrals, referral links, and referral earnings
• Privacy settings, notification preferences, and subscriptions
• Boosts, destination interests, and your account itself

Rows are cleared whether you were the sender or the recipient. An earlier version deleted only what you had initiated, which left likes you had received behind and made the deletion fail — so this is checked explicitly rather than assumed.

What we keep, and why

One audit record of the deletion itself: the date, whether an account had a profile, and the domain of the email address — never the address, and nothing that identifies you. It is written before the data is removed, because being able to show a deletion request was honoured is part of honouring it. Reports of fraud or abuse may also be retained so the same person cannot immediately return.

Deactivating instead

If you only want a break, deactivating hides your profile and stops you appearing anywhere, and you can reactivate simply by logging in again. Deletion has no such recovery — there is no grace period, and signing up again later starts from nothing.
