Who writes these

These guides are published under the Plus editorial team rather than an individual byline. Several are written in the first person and describe living in Miami or working in Houston — that is the experience of people who build and run Plus, and we would rather say so plainly than attach an invented name to it. When a guide is written by someone willing to be named, it will carry their byline.

How the city guides are researched

The neighbourhood and city guides are written from experience in the market being described, not assembled from other listicles. Where a guide names a venue, a neighbourhood boundary or a distance, it reflects the writer's own time there. Where it cites a statistic from outside research, it links to the source so you can check it.

What we get wrong

Cities change. Restaurants close, neighbourhoods shift, and app user bases move. Guides carry a published date and a last-updated date, and we revise rather than quietly republish. If something here is wrong, tell us at hello@meetyourplus.comand we'll correct it and say that we did.

Our commercial interest

Plus is a dating platform. We make money when people join it, which means we are not a neutral party and you should read our comparisons with that in mind.

What we try to do instead of pretending otherwise: name the bias in the piece where it applies, recommend competitors where they genuinely fit better, and be explicit about the limits of our own product — including that it's live in only two cities. When a guide covers a market we don't serve, it says so rather than selling you something unavailable.

What we won't publish

Fabricated statistics, invented member quotes, reviews of our own products presented as independent, or content that frames companionship as something purchasable. That last one is also prohibited on the platform itself — see our acceptable use policy.
